Salkim Cave House Hotel - Goreme

The breakfast was HUGE! Loved the yummy homemade vibe. The view from the terrace while the balloons floated by was lovely. Just be ready for a bit of a climb to get to town 😊

It was in an excellent and lovely location close to the city center. The staff was very helpful and the room was huge, brand-new.

Had essentials needed in the family room, including coffee/tea making machines, a fridge, and glassware. It was fantastic, particularly good bathroom. The setting was marvellous, close to the market area, the fairy chimneys, and a hill.

the hotel's proximity to amazing sights like the goreme open air museum and zemi valley made every stroll a delight, and the friendly staff ensured our experience was great with their warm hospitality.

Thank you, would want to stay there again. The hotel is clean, beautiful and has unique and cool location to all the sightseeing locations in the area. Family vibe, the staff is very kind and welcoming. The breakfasts is wonderful with variety of food.

The staff are exceptionally nice, managed the parking nearby. The hotel offers huge, brand-new rooms with A/C and the picture on the site, for instance: D

The family suite we booked was comfortable and clean.

We encountered some concerns. The shower door in our bathroom didn't close properly, causing the bathroom floor to become slippery and hazardous. The cave's limited ventilation, especially considering it had only one small window near the door. Lastly, the narrow uphill road leading to the hotel was difficult to navigate, made accessing the hotel challenging.

Be prepared for a steep walk to the town, but the fine sunrise views and cozy cave ambiance make it worth every step.

The breakfast at Salkim Cave House is a feast-Yunus serves a Turkish breakfast that's like a hug on a plate, with fresh ingredients keeping your energy up for all those ballooning adventures! The location shines bright, just a short walk to nearby gems like Topdeck Cave Restaurant, where you can dive into authentic Cappadocian cuisine.

Honestly, nothing to complain about except we wish we'd stayed longer. With a day of unfortunate weather, we missed out on those dreamy Pigeon and Love Valley walks. But every sunrise spent watching balloons from the terrace was a memory we'll cherish!

Salkim Cave House is an enchanting place with cozy cave rooms that offer a perfect view of the balloons during sunrise from the rooftop terrace. Breakfast was a good continental spread every morning, and Yunus, the host, made sure that every need was met with a smile. The location is ideal, just a short walk down to the charming downtown area.

Bathroom door issue.

The cave accommodations offered a unique charm and were well-maintained, providing an authentic experience. The owner was accommodating, assisting in organizing hot air balloon rides and local tours. Mornings on the terrace revealed fine views of the valley and balloons, a picturesque sight. Although breakfast was simple, it held a homemade touch that was enjoyable. The proximity to downtown meant the surrounding area was a bit busier than expected at times.

The Cave Family Suite was super comfy and clean. Great views from the roof terrace were a highlight, especially in the mornings! The only thing was the need for some updates around the room, but it didn't ruin our stay. Yunus.

The breakfast here was fantastic and traditional, the location is excellent and unique, just a short walk from a popular spot, and all the staff were incredibly friendly and polite.
